One of the world’s largest remote projects. A vast, vivid landscape of red soils, turquoise ocean and a pristine coral reef make the Novotel Ningaloo Resort unique. Tim Davies Landscaping responded to the local topography with a palette of new ideas and techniques. Features include date palms, local red soils for ephemeral wildflower beds, rust finish steel screen panels and a reflection lily pond. Local stone paving reveals fossilised coral, crustaceans and shells. The climate is dry, so the harvesting of scarce water is an integral part of the master plan. At the time of commissioning, Novotel Ningaloo Resort was the world’s largest remote project. Only a multi-skilled practice could take on the job – and TDL made it happen with military precision.
